Mercer Museum . Antique Cast Iron Stove

This antique stove is part of the permanent collection of The Mercer Museum in Bucks County Pennsylvania.

This cast iron stove features a marvelous large decorative panel below the door, an incredibly massive looking door and latch and decorative side panels. The stove was made by a company called Mount Hope Furnace. This stove is located on the top floor of the Mercer Museum.

The Mercer Museum is a wonderfully strange place to learn about American History and the history of the American farm. The antique tool collection here is outstanding.

    Hello,

I own a grey Apollo Buckwalter 508 stove ..made in Royersford..that I am interested in selling..inside/bricks appear to have not been used..outside shows some signs of rust but is in overall good condition.
I live in New Jersey now and the stove could be delivered. If you know someone who may be interested I would be happy to post photos or email…. no reasonable offer refused..
I thought we would have a place for it in my home but I really don’t.. I would love to sell it and see it go to a home where it can be used/displayed…

    Thanks!
