This mural is a tribute to Sherman Rose, a famous resident of Dothan and one of the original Tuskegee Airmen.
The full title of this mural is “A Tribute to Sherman Rose”. It was painted by Wes Hardin in 2001. It is just one of the Dothan murals that commemorate an African American.

Dothan Alabama is a city with a population of over 62,000 people. It is a major transportation and distribution center for the region commonly referred to as the Wiregrass, which includes southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the panhandle region of northwest Florida.
