Murphy’s Law Public House

Murphy’s Law is an Irish Pub located a few blocks off of River Street in the heart of the historic district on Congress Street. The atmosphere here is that of a warm local pub.
The Public House is an Irish pub. If you can think of a traditional Irish meal, it is probably served here. Their menu however include some regional favorites and some American pub dishes. Some highlights from the menu include: Irish potato soups, Irish potstickers, “Crabby Paddies” (lump blue crab cakes, caramelized Vidalia onions, Key lime beurre blanc), chips (fries) and gravy, chips and curry, pesto chicken salads, blackened salmon salads, “County Cork corned beef Reubens (corned beef brisket, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, Swiss cheese, grilled rye bread), roast beef sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and mushroom Swiss burgers.

Other offerings include: Irish breakfast (served all day, bangers, bacon, grilled tomatoes, eggs, potatoes O’Brien, Heinz beans, toast), Shepherd’s Pie (lamb, carrots, peas, buttermilk mashed potatoes, cheese), fish and chips (Harp beer battered tempura style with pub chips, peas, malt vinegar), bangers and mash (Tuten sausages, buttermilk mashed potatoes, cabbage), Shannon Salmon (pan seared or blackened salmon with mash potatoes and zucchini), Bubble and Squeak (grilled mix of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, cabbage), Fowl and Fungus (chicken, mushroom pie), Beef and Guinness Pie and shrimp and grits.

The Public House also has a full service bar with 20 draft beers and 60 bottled beers, wines and cocktails. They specialize in Irish music and claim to be the home of Celtic Rock and Punk. They are open 7 days a week and are open for lunch and dinner.
