Philadelphia Museum of Art
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of our great escapes here in rural New Jersey. It is always inspirational and it always restores our spirit. There is such a marvelous scale to the museum and the park that it resides in that makes it unique. We always park in the small parking lot in front of the museum and walk up to the front of the building past the incredible fountain that is pictured in our first two photographs.
On this trip, we visited the Gilbert and George exhibition and the newly opened Perelman Building that is located behind and to the side of the museum. We started our day with a visit to the Museum restaurant. It was a visual and gastronomic delight as always. See our photos below. Our favorite item was a soft goat cheese rolled in fennel and anise seeds with roasted hot red pepper flakes.

Philadelphia Sculpture
The Pocahontas figure from the monumental sculpture fountain that lies directly in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia Pennsylvania is a wonder to behold.

Art in the Cafe
A scene from the restaurant at the Philadelphia Museum with a bottle of wine, coffee and a food critics notes and pens make for an intriguing still life. The image was altered with Paint Shop Pro.
