Riegelsville Library

The Riegelsville Library, one of the most beautiful libraries in the area, resides in a historic stone structure on a hill overlooking town.
The Riegelsville Library is located in a historic building that was originally the Riegelsville Academy. The Riegel family was instrumental in the founding of the school and the library. Over the years, enrollment in the school declined and in 1916 it was closed, but the library remained open. Through the years, the building has been an important gathering place for the community.

In 1984, the library was registered as a historical landmark by the Bucks County Conservancy. Today, the library has a collection of around 13,000 books. The library has an ongoing series of educational events for children, adults and seniors. The library holds book sales twice a year; in May and November to help support itself.

The library is open Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It is located on the second floor of the building. There is a wheelchair ramp and a chair lift at the back of the building for the handicapped; please call for more details.

The Riegelsville Public Library is part of the Bucks County Free Library system.
