The 16th Annual Great Tomato Tasting will be held at the Clifford E. and Melda C. Snyder Research and Extension Farm in Pittstown New Jersey, this week on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. This unique event celebrating the rural farm life that is part of our great heritage of New Jersey, will start at 3:00 PM and continue until dusk.
The event features a tasting of over 70 varieties of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes and hayride tours of the research farm. The cost is $4.00 per person.
The Synder Research Farm is affiliated with the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, Cook College at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The Farm is located about 9 miles from Flemington and about 8 miles from Frenchtown.
